Grupo AGF Fashion has presented the 2019 watermelon campaign, with the presence of the Councillor for Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Sustainable Development of the Andalusian Government, Carmen Crespo, who visited the Indasol facilities in El Ejido (Almería).
Grupo AGF specialises in innovative products, such as seedless “fashion” watermelon. During the visit, the Councillor was accompanied by the mayor of El Ejido, Francisco Góngora, the president of Grupo AGF, José García; and the president of Indasol, Miguel Barbero.
Crespo extolled Grupo AGF as an example of innovation in the agri-food sector, one of the region’s economic drivers, and offered his congratulations. “You have hit the mark, achieving a quality product and exporting it abroad.” In Andalusia and Almería the question of innovation is fundamental to continue moving forward.”
The Councillor for Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Sustainable Development insisted on unity within the agricultural sector, and in this sense offered Grupo AGF the opportunity to be part of a working group the Council will be promoting to encourage companies to work together and promote foreign exports.
