In Almería, an international benchmark centre for intensive agricultural production, Biorizon Biotech, continues to execute research programmes. And it does this in partnership with the University of Almería or as a partner in European programmes like the SABANA Project for sustainable development, which envisages the building, alongside said University, of one of the best micro-algae research centres in Europe. Biotechnology applied to fruit and vegetable crops, internationalised with agreements in America, where the knowledge developed by the biotechnology company from Almería is being applied.
